Töyhtötiainen/ Crested tit/ Lophophanes cristatus
Perhaps the most picturesque of tits is the crested tit, the punk rocker of the bird world. When you encounter an individual posing as beautifully as this one in front of the camera, it brings joy to the photographer. The crested tit, which lives in coniferous forests, inhabits the same area year-round. In Finland, the species has rapidly declined due to intensive forestry practices. Crested tits are found only in Europe.
