Sometimes the landing doesn't go smoothly for a goldeneye. The goldeneye is a very common duck in Finland. It is highly picturesque, and I am particularly fond of its bewildered expression, which is further accentuated in this landing where balance seems to be failing miserably. The goldeneye can be identified from afar by its triangular-shaped head.

Aina ei mene laskeutuminen nappiin telkälläkään. Telkkä on Suomessa hyvin yleinen sorsalintu. Se on hyvin kuvauksellinen, ja erityisen kiintynyt olen sen hölmistyneeseen ilmeeseen, joka vielä korostuu tässä laskeutumisessa, jossa tasapaino näyttää pettävän pahasti. Telkän voi tunnistaa jo kaukaa sen kolmiomaisen pään muodon perusteella.
